In untimed practice, every answer comes with the reasoning and the handbook chapter it came from, so a wrong answer teaches you something instead of just costing you a mark.
Revision by chapter
Work through a single chapter at a time — the values and principles, history, modern society, government and the law — rather than shuffling the whole bank.
Your weak areas, on purpose
Once you have answered enough questions, the focus exam weights itself towards the questions and topics you get wrong, instead of asking you the ones you already know.
Why this exists
I built this for myself. I had the Life in the UK test coming up, the free practice sites were mostly adverts wrapped around a hundred recycled questions, and the paid ones wanted money for something that is, at heart, a list of facts and a timer.
So I built the thing I actually wanted: the whole question bank, honest mock exams, and statistics good enough to tell me when I was ready. It worked. It seemed a waste to leave it running for an audience of one, so here it is.
It is free, and it stays free. There are no adverts, no premium tier, no trial that expires and nothing to buy. I am not trying to build a business here — it is a study aid that already exists and costs me very little to share. If you find it useful and want to chip in towards the hosting, there is a tip jar, but it changes nothing about what you get.

This is not the official test and it is not affiliated with the Home Office. The Home Office does not publish the real exam questions, and nobody who claims to have them actually does.
The question bank here is compiled from community sources, all of them based on the official handbook, Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents (3rd edition). Practising here is a good way to learn the handbook. It is not a substitute for reading it, and passing here is not a guarantee of passing the real test.
